44 total drawers and 4 open divided sections above.
The top section (not attached) has 26 drawers and is obviously handmade / homemade.
The drawers vary in size and some have dividers, while others do not. All of the drawers have been emptied, vacuumed, and wiped with a cloth, but there is staining in some of the drawers from previous contents. Nothing ugly, but it is evident. The top section being handmade, is not exactly 'straight'. Everything is just a bit crooked, but all but one or two of the drawers function well. Drawer #10 and Drawer #25 are a little sticky', but do function ok.
The bottom section is a part of an old library card catalog cabinet. It is solid oak that has been painted. Very 'sloppy' paint job, and there is wear to the paint. Love it.
I have removed some awful dividers and bottoms in the lower section drawers, emptied the contents, vacuumed, cleaned, and added 1/8" tempered masonite bottoms in every drawer. ALL of these drawers function and are usable. Drawer #1 is missing the pull and label holder. I have ordered one and it will be installed after I paint and distress it.
*update ___ the #1 drawer pull has been added to the drawer.
I have also replaced the back of the lower cabinet with appropriately aged/colored plywood, as the veneered back that was on this cabinet section was deteriorating.
SIZE __ approx 42" wide x 36" high x 18" deep. Top section is 12" deep
The 2 cabinets together are very heavy. I would guess 150 to 175 pounds roughly.
They are not attached, but should/could be.
