Awesome handmade homemade Tool Box with divided insert and handles.
Looks to have been made from old printed crate material.
California printing is in 2 places on the interior. On the underside of the lid, and on the front inside panel. This box is solid and opens and closes nicely.
The finish and aging is wonderful. Lots of character.
Interior is exceptionally clean. I have vacuumed and cleaned this. It has been wiped with a beeswax wood conditioner as well to bring out some of the color.
I did have to make a repair in the rear where the hinges for the lid attach. They were loose. I replaced a small strip of wood and re attached the hinges into it.
The top does have a split in the wood, but it is tight and does not affect anything.
The divided tray rests on a shelf. It is made of what look like scrap pieces of wood as there is some paint on the sides of a couple of pieces. The bottom is metal.
Use or display this.
On the smallish side.
