Obviously Handmade Tool Chest.
It appears to have been made from a number of 'old wood parts' .... stair tread with bull nose, old painted wood flooring or paneling, and other boards.
No fancy wood working. It has simply been nailed together.
The top is a 'single' wide board, with a block at the rear for the hinges. The top of the chest is slightly bowed or warped as a result of it being a single board.
Outside has been painted at some point. They ran out of paint on the back side. See photos. The interior bottom is also painted, but I believe this to have been painted prior to it being made into the chest bottom.
Very solid. The locking latch on the front is a 'little off', but still closes.
There are some random places where you can tell they nailed parts together, and then cut them off on the chest. There are saw marks that cross horizontal and vertical surfaces.
This was likely used to store tools. I have totally cleaned the inside, vacuumed it, and coated all surfaces with a wood conditioner. So it is as clean as can be expected from a chest of this sort. The outside and bottom have also been cleaned and treated.
The top paint is darkened from wear, use or age. It is a 'blackish green'.
Loads of character.
