Salvaged reclaimed furniture part that has been re-imagined as a towel rack.
It had wood 'tongues' on either side that have been cut off, sanded and finished. It may have been part of a dresser or chest.
This was covered in dust and dirt. It has been cleaned (front and back) and conditioned with a wood cleaner with bees wax on the back and edges.
The paint shows 'chips', but the paint is not flaky or dry. I'm not sure exactly what is was painted with, but it seems to be a latex paint. Love the crackling and character.
The wood appears to be oak.
2 Metal Wire hooks have been added.
Hanging hardware is not included as you may have a method you prefer. If you would like me to provide hardware for hanging, please let me know in a message. There are a variety of methods available. I thought 2 eye hooks on the back with a ribbon strung through them might be really cute.
This piece is fairly large.
