This listing is for a Canedy-Otto Mfg Co Drill Press from the early 1900's - 1910
No. 24
This model is fairly scarce, and an early example of machine age production.
There is a plate on the base as well as the 'arm' that identifies what I believe to be the distributor name.

It is INCOMPLETE. There are from what I have been able to determine several missing components, including the base plate mounting screws, and the screws for the electric toggle switch. There is an electrical component behind the toggle. There is no 'chuck head' and I believe there was a lower belt guide attachment.
This drill press would have operated with an independent motor and leather belts.
It is a beautiful form. Perfect for display as an example of machine age industrialism.
I have removed 'some' of the grime. I have not completely cleaned the grease, oil, and grime build up from it. I like the character it shows as it is.
There is information available online regarding it's history, as well as un-restored and restored examples.
This is an extremely heavy piece. In total I would estimate the parts to weigh about 100 pounds.
Size __ approx __ 34" high x 22" wide x 6" deep.
