Santa Claus
Smoking Santa Claus from the Ore Mountains in Thuringia - a traditional German Christmas decoration. The figure was first turned and then sanded or carved to it's final form and painted.
On the chairs small Incense can be burned off. Then, small clouds of smoke emerge from his mouth. (This one, though, is a "non-smoking smoker" - it was never used before.)
Height: 26,5 cm.
Condition: good. Some loss of varnish on the green base.
