Seriously Distressed and Decrepit Machine Age Task Chair.
I believe this to be a Fritz Cross chair, but it is also very similar to ... if not ... a Remington Rand Sit Wel chair.
Please do your own homework and decide for yourself. I make no claims as to exactly which manufacturer this chair is from. Only that it is from the 1920's.

This chair is not for everyone. Only 'special' individuals should consider this piece.
The seat is very lumpy and worn / torn on one corner. I have no idea of the composition of material under the seat cover, but it appears to be some kind of molded synthetic. It is identified as rubber on the tag.
2 of the caster wheels have either been worn down or sanded down to keep the chair in position. They are stem casters and could be replaced.
Metal frame seems slightly twisted from the previous owners repetitive use.
There is minor rust on the frame legs.
Despite ALL of the above, it has beautiful lines, and is quite unique in form. Very sculptural. In the right setting it would claim its own space.
The original manufacturing tag remains underneath the seat. There is a small nameplate on the back rest.

SIZE seems irrelevant as I don't see this as a chair most would find usable. If you must know the size please contact me and I'll provide dimensions. It's a pretty standard size chair.
