Seriously heavy duty old metal tool box.
Painted Silver over Orange.
It has been cleaned and sanded, and wiped with a waxed cloth. There are areas of rust here and there, especially on the underside of the lid, but they have been coated with wax. Interior is pretty clean, but does have stains and marks.
Appears to have been handmade and riveted. Solid closure and alignment.
There is a brass piece of hardware securing the box, on a ball chain.
Great for storage or display.
Best guess is this was made around 1940 or so.
