This gorgeous old general store dispensing tin may have been designed to store flour and additional spices or cooking sundries. The round cover on top opens to fill the large body of the tin, and is dispensed from the hinged opening at the bottom of the tin. There are three openings in the center, which I assumed once housed spice jars of perhaps baking soda and salt, that could easily be dispensed and sold at the same time. The floral graphic on the front of the tin is quite detailed, and features birds and flowers in tones of peach, pink, and green - it's lovely!
Measures 28" high by 14” deep by 9” wide. Well patinaed condition, with lots of dings and scratches and chipping paint, as expected with use. The decorative portion on the front is in good condition with one large scratch through it; the top cover still fits well, and the hinged bottom bin cover still opens and closes fine. The three jars that I assume once fit into the center portion are no longer with the bin.
