These elegant cloth covered gray box was originally designed to store and present a set of sterling silver salt and pepper shakers - it has two spots molded into the base where the shakers would have nestled. These are covered with a soft gray velvet, which now makes an gorgeous backdrop for whatever you might choose to display! Perfect for jewelry, tiny sculptures, or whatever you create - imagine this as an unique part of your craft show display!
Measures 5 3/4” square by 3 3/4” tall. Good, used vintage condition, with some mild staining on the top of the box (see last photo). The fabric 'hinge' that holds the box together is ripped through on the outside (see fourth photo), but the inside hinge is still intact. Neither of these flaws are an issue when the box is open for displaying your treasures. Note: the velvet lining is sewn or glued to the box, so I don't think you can remove the 'forms' underneath that are designed to hold salt and pepper shakers - you can readjust the fabric a bit, but the forms will stay in their original shape.
