Mexican Tlaquepaque Serving Dish:
Deep oval pottery dish with hand painted scene of a hacienda with trees, agave and cactus circa 1940s Mexico. Scalloped rim with blue band. Brown clay with ivory over-glaze. Maker's mark impressed on the back. Collectible example of old Mexican decorative arts.
In very good condition with slightly mottled and pocked glaze, which is typical of this folk art style. A flaw on the front near the hacienda appears to be original to the piece because it contains glaze. Some tiny flakes in the glaze here and there, but no cracks or deep chips.
