A Woodstock Desktop No. 5 in absolutely beautiful condition aesthetically and functionally. All keys including backspace and shift lock work flawlessly without sticking giving the experience an impressively 'snappy' feel. The carriage advances correctly without skipping of any kind. The rubber platen still grips the paper very well as its supposed to. Even the ink color selector functions perfectly as intended. The ribbon installed on the machine remains in usable condition, but a secondary/backup ribbon will be included for use when it dries up.
As for aesthetics, the logos and graphics are in exceptionally good shape with only minimal damage from normal gentle use. The sticker on the right hand side of the machine is in equally fine condition. The paint is in fine shape as well with minimal scuffing and barely any scratches and has been buffed to a high gloss shine.
Woodstock typewriters are increasingly rare these days. Combine that with the exceptionally clean and fully functional condition of this No. 5 Desktop and you have a truly unique find that would both make a fine addition to an extensive collection as well as the perfect gift for the brand new enthusiast.
