This wooden hat stretcher was used to stretch out the body of a hat - the starting hat size is 6 3/4. The center wood handle turns to open up the two halves of the stretcher. It's a functional tool that would look great as a display piece or hung on a wall.
Measures 7” tall by 6 1/2” wide by 2 1/2” thick. Marked with size '6 3/4'. Good, vintage working condition - this one opens to about 22 3/4" before it gets too wobbly to use. There is a small chip in the wood on the right side where the two halves meet, and red staining on the back that carries over to the top a bit - see last photo.
