What a great gift for your favorite doctor or medical student! This vintage pull-down style eye and ear chart from American Frohse of Chicago hails from the Clintonville, WI school district, per an ID tag on the back. The 1918 anatomical chart is a wonderfully detailed depiction of the ear and the eye, in nice neutral tones. Perfect for the office, dorm room, or even a kids playroom.
Measures 70" long by 41" wide. Good vintage condition, given it's age, with some cracking and flaking of the paper in a few spots (see photo) and roll/fold marks. A small section of the bottom border fabric (about 4") has separated from the bottom wood dowel, which was common as this is where most right handed teachers would pull the chart down. I have not tested the spring mechanism in the roller due to the age and delicate nature of the chart - I assume the purchaser will display it open and not need to have a spring shade mechanism roll it back up!
