I believe that this vintage throw or blanket is made of a cut silk velvet, but I am not 100% sure of the fiber content. It measures approx. 45 x 70" with an additional 6" fancy knotted fringe on two ends. It is hard to know where to start when describing this gorgeous vintage piece. The first thing that grabbed me was the amazing glorious color combination, the background is a soft pink and the pattern is done in greens, yellow, shades of pink and cream. It is an overall intricate floral design with a center motif (see photo #4) And best of all - there are cherubs in the four corners, (see photos #2 & #3. What my photos did not capture is the luscious sheen the fabric has, the light dances on the surface. It is clean and free of odors. The only issues I found were I think 4 pin holes and another about the size of a pencil eraser. The pin holes you don't see from the front side, the larger one does show as it is in the pink background near one of the cherub's head. I suppose it could be mended if you had any needle skills. There is so much going on with this throw that your eye would probably not see it. The fringe is all in tact.
