This is a group of 4 hand pieced quilt blocks from the 1940's. They are made from quite a colorful assortment of cotton fabrics. They have been paper pieced and two of the blocks still have the paper backing. There are still basting stitches left in them. They were all hand pieced. The colors are bright and not faded. They have a bit of age spotting and I have not tried to clean them, they are as found. They measure approx. 8 1/2" square. It is super fun to look at the newspaper pieces on the back.
