This is a wonderful antique quilt top that measures approx. 70 x 81". I don't know the name of the pattern, but it is small triangles that make up a larger one. The fabrics are a mix of indigo and shirting fabrics from the period. All of the stitching has been done by hand. Three of it's sides are edged with the blue and white stripe fabric shown in photo #2. There are also the larger triangles done in a small red and white print that offsets the pieced ones. I would say it is in overall good condition with couple of issues; two of the small triangles have disintegrated and need to be replaced. Two others have holes in them. The person who made this did excellent piecing but they used a very narrow seam allowance and some have pulled away a bit. There is also some age spotting, not much. The lady I purchased it from said she washed it, sorry, I know quilters aren't happy about that but it really didn't pull anything out of shape, she said she hand washed it and line dried it. I believe all of the fabrics are 100% cotton. The quilt top is charming and well sewn.
